Yes I am beyond ready. It’s solid and rust free, it just needs fresh paint. After sitting for over 15 years and being revived with the new parts it needed, this is how she sits today. Gosh I love this thing so much!

Droooool.... I’ve owned two FCs in my car history and I loved them. 91 white N/A
with the awesome blue interior and a 87 Turbo II gold with even better garish brown / red interior.

Is that an earlier one with 146HP or a later one with 160HP?
I drove the earlier version and absolutely loved it. I found it to be
the opposite of a V8 Mustang in a lot of ways.. except for fuel economy
.
E39, K5. Whatever it takes.

This is my first FC and I’m so lucky that it’s a Turbo II with a crazy story!

It’s a 185 horsepower Turbo II model. She’s bone stock to boot. Well... for now ;)

The previous owner (my best bud) sourced this spoiler. I freaking love it. Can’t wait for it all to be one color and minty.
I’d love to see your 86!

My FB is begging for a coat of paint (not a spot of rust on it, just old worn paint) but it’s just not in the cards any time soon.

Turbo IIs are getting harder and harder to find.
That was my TII. Don’t have a pic of my white N/A unfortunately

Woooooo that's sex on wheels right there. The only thing prettier is it's younger sister. Good on you for keeping her in such good shape.

Any chance to do paint correction or is it beyond that like mine is?

Unfortunately you’re absolutely right, the values of them have soared way up and they’re just not plentiful anymore. Your T2 looked really legit in that color.

Thank you :) my best bud was the one who bought it as a barn find after sitting since the turn of the millennium and got it running again. I’m just here to finish what he started ;)

I totally would if this particular car wasn’t one of the first 1987s produced. Based on vin decoding this car could literally be in the first 50 cars produced for the year. Was even sold just 30 miles away new. We’re still waiting on someone in the community to finish decoding.
That being said this particular turbo 2 is my favorite on livery. It actually wears the same front bumper and side skirts I’ll be using :)

I had one of those:
Those pics were after the “new” owner had beat the hell out of it for 4-5 years.

She was pristine black outside, mint inside, and that SC 3.8L pulled like a freight train when we sold it.
That car was such a riot to drive.

I did a ton and it looks pretty good, but the overall paint condition is still “not great”, especially in areas where the clearcoat failed (car is from GA) or is failing, etc. Bumper paint is cracked and/or missing in spots and so on.
